About Us
Megumi Uppena, L.Ac., MAOM, ACN

Originally from Tokyo, Japan, I embarked on a life-changing journey that led me to Madison, WI in 1997, and later to Austin, TX in 2005. However, in just five years in Texas, I developed a severe cedar allergy that left me unable to breathe, think, eat, speak, or sleep properly. I desperately sought relief through traditional allergy medications like Zyrtec, Benadryl, and Claritin, as well as alternative treatments like acupuncture and Chinese herbal decoctions, but nothing provided lasting relief. Witnessing patients with similar issues while feeling defeated myself was both embarrassing and disheartening.

My path to healing took a pivotal turn during my acupuncture studies when I discovered NAET® (Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination
Techniques). While not part of my formal education, I learned that NAET® held the promise of eliminating allergies and more. In 2010, after receiving direct training from Dr. Devi Nambudripad, NAET®'s developer, I obtained the permit to practice it. With the guidance of a colleague, I underwent NAET® treatment for my cedar allergy, and at the 25th hour, my nasal passages finally cleared. This transformative experience fueled my determination to explore NAET® further and incorporate it into my practice.

Today, NAET® stands as a cornerstone of my approach to patient care, allowing me to help numerous individuals overcome allergies at their root cause, just as I did. My journey from suffering to healing has empowered me to make a difference in the lives of others struggling with allergies, and I'm committed to bringing relief and clarity to those who, like me, have felt trapped by their allergies.
